Frants Nielsen has been announced as the new CEO of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. With his strategic approach, commercial understanding and international experience, Frants Nielsen will strengthen the company's presence in the Northern European markets and continue the growth of the practice in collaboration with his new colleagues.
A collective with threads to the modernist heritage
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has been on a growth journey for several years based on strong competencies in complex buildings, green transition and digitalisation. The company has also undergone an expansion, including a new group of owners and partners and the acquisition of the two architectural firms STED By og Landskab and Kjaer & Richter. At the core of the company lies a 100-year-old modernist heritage, where the focus has always been that good architecture should be for everyone.
"Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects is both a distinctive and solid company that I look forward to being a part of. It will be exciting to further develop the work with the green transition and create greater internationalisation. Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Kjaer & Richter and STED will continue as individual brands, and I look forward to getting to know them all better. At the same time, I also believe that the many talented and competent colleagues can benefit even more from each other across the organisation," says new CEO, Frants Nielsen.
A familiar face with extensive experience
Frants Nielsen has previously been Commercial Director at Henning Larsen, Managing Director at Dorte Mandrup and is still the Managing Director of Lendager Architects, before joining Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects in august. With over twenty years of experience in the architectural industry, he is therefore a familiar face who has achieved great results in growth and internationalisation. His empathetic management style and commercial understanding will now strengthen and lead the company. Skills that were also important to Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
"His ability to harmonise cultural integrity with ambitious growth promises an exciting era for Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Throughout his career, Frants has shown that he has a special ability to bring Danish architecture to our neighbouring countries. He is therefore the ideal choice to lead the practice into the future," says Karin Verland, Chairman of the Board at Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
Frants Nielsen will continue at Lendager Architects until 12 August 2024, when he will take on the role as the new CEO of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
