Groundbreaking of Skyttehusene

Next stage of the building activities in the city area ‘Bella Quarter’ in Amager started September 1, when the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen, turned the first sod at a groundbreaking ceremony for Skyttehusene. Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has designed three of the blocks, block 6, 15, and 17.

Skyttehusene, which are expected to be realized by 2020, will consist of 410 family- and student residences and are a part of the new ‘Bella Quarter’, which is built on the congress venue Bella Center’s previous parking lots not far from the area’s high rising hotel Bella Sky.

FSB, Copenhagen’s largest common housing association, manages the building of Skyttehusene. In total, FSB has secured the right to build on five blocks in the ‘Bella Quarter’.
