Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has won the framework agreement for Landside Terminal Extension at Copenhagen Airports

The vision of Copenhagen Airports is to develop the airport so it will be capable to serve 40 million passengers annually.
This means that the existing buildings at the airport and the facilities will be developed and supplemented in order to fulfill the vision.

Planning is in progress, and a number of specific construction projects to be carried out on the land side is assembled in the program “Landside Terminal Expansion (LTE)”. Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has won the framework agreement for technical consulting services in collaboration with COWI.
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects and COWI must assist the airport program manager and project managers as client adviser, so they are able to manage the development and implementation of the construction projects.

Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects and COWI’s services include preparation of drawings etc. on a conceptual level needed by policy papers and presentations, as well as various airport specific advices on passengers flow, wayfinding, commercial activities and facilities etc.

Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has a continuous connection and large job experience with Copenhagen Airports and therefore great interest in helping to shape the framework for the deployment of LTE area around Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has been architects on both terminals.

The first major task during the LTE program is in full swing. The task includes building consultancy in connection with the expansion of the Security capacity of the airport’s central security.
