Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects is in the running for one of the world’s most prestigious property prices, MIPIM Awards, once again this year. The winners of the awards will be presented on the 17th of March 2016, in connection with the international real estate fair in Cannes.
The project Gladsaxe Company House is nominated in the category ‘Best Innovative Green Building’ where environmentally friendly and resource-efficient buildings that meet the highest sustainability criteria are evaluated.
The building is the first office building in Denmark classified after the DGNB Certification System DGNB on the highest level, Platinum, which is awarded to buildings that have environmental, social, and economic sustainability as highest priority.
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects has had an extremely sharp focus on ensuring the correct and optimal balance between building economic, social and environmental aspects from the first stage in the design process of Gladsaxe Company House. A focus that now has been rewarded by the nomination for a MIPIM AWARD: ‘At Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, our primary focus has always been to create a physical environment that improves people’s lives. With DGNB PLATINUM certification, we now have concrete proof that we have achieved this goal; to create a healthy and good environment for those who on a daily basis use the buildings that we design. We are very proud of this‘, says Thomas West Jensen, partner at Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects won two MIPIM Awards last year. Krøyers Plads was rewarded in the category Best Residential Development, while New Hospital Nordsjælland won the award as Best Future Mega Project.
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects is also represented at the Property Fair in Cannes, which this year takes place from the 15th until the 18th of March.
