Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects Nominated for Five Archello Awards

Three projects from Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects – Tip of Nordø, Kronløbsøen, and Timber House – have been nominated for a total of four Archello Awards 2024. Additionally, the studio has been shortlisted for Archello's Large Firm of the Year 2024.

The three projects, all located in Copenhagen's Nordhavn district, are finalists in four categories. We are really proud to be nominated in four categories and to be nominated as one of the top five international architecture firms.

The Tip of Nordø, the round 60-metre-high building at the tip of Nordø, has been nominated in the categories: Building of the Year and Office Building of the Year – High-rise. The building serves as a prominent landmark at the entrance to Copenhagen Harbour and was designed in collaboration with Cobe and Tredje Natur.

Kronløbsøen is a finalist in Public Space of the Year, with its unique combination of publicly accessible courtyards and harbour edges as well as private housing on a new island in the Copenhagen Harbour. Kronløbsøen was created in collaboration with STED - By og Landskab and Cobe.

Last but not least, The Timber House is also nominated for Parking Garage of the Year with its characteristic pixelated facade in wood and recycled aluminium.

The Archello Awards 2024 has announced the nominated finalists in this year's award categories. An international jury consisting of 115 architects and designers has selected the five best architecture firms in the 54 categories. Both a jury winner and a public vote winner will be chosen.

Voting is open until 1 December 2024.
