Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects wins six Archello Awards

We are incredibly pleased to announce that we have won six Archello Awards 2024 for our three standout projects in Nordhavn and our work!

The Tip of Nordø has earned special recognition with three awards. The project was named Office Building of the Year by the public but also the winner of the High-Rise Tower by both the jury and the public vote. The Tip of Nordø stands as an contemporary beacon of an impressive scale at the entrance to Copenhagen harbour. The open winter garden has already become a new attraction in Copenhagen – so be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself.

Kronløb Island has also received a significant honour, winning Public Space of the Year, based on the public vote. This project is a strong example of how we can create innovative public spaces that give something back to the city. Today, Kronløb Island is a vibrant destination in Nordhavn, where visitors can enjoy the proximity to the water and the unique atmosphere the area offers.

Also, we have the Timber House has won Public Vote Winner: Parking Garage of the Year. With its pixel-inspired and entirely unique design, the project pays homage to the area’s history as a timber trade hub in the 19th century, creating a strong connection between architecture and cultural heritage.

Last but certainly not least, we are deeply honoured to have won this year’s Big Firm of the Year award. This is truly a meaningful prize, as it acknowledges our collaboration across passionate architects, constructors, engineers, and administrators. Therefore, we share this award across our entire collective.

We are truly honoured to receive this recognition from both Archello and the public. Thank you to everyone who voted and supported us!
