Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects to design four new LIFE Labs

Soon, even more Danish school pupils will gain free access to state-of-the-art research facilities. As a national supplement to the upcoming 4,000 m² learning campus in Lyngby and mobile truck laboratories, the LIFE Foundation has selected Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects to design four new regional LIFE Labs. These new regional laboratories will offer pupils in each region the opportunity to work in high-tech lab facilities not typically available in schools.

The first regional laboratory will be called Life Lab Syddanmark and will be established in collaboration with UCL University College in Odense. It will consist of approximately 300 square metres of office and teaching lab space. It is scheduled to open during 2022.

The LIFE Foundation is a Danish commercial foundation with a public-benefit purpose, aiming to enhance science education, literacy, and research, and to increase interest in STEM subjects among children and young people.
