A new gathering point is on its way in North Zealand, inspired by glacial erratics from the Ice Age. Gribskov Municipality has today announced the winner of the competition for its new administration and health centre. The winning proposal is designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects in collaboration with STED By og Landskab, DEM and AB Clausen, with Hoffmann as turnkey contractor.
A vibrant and innovative meeting place integrated like Ice Age boulders into a natural landscape. Today, the winning design for Gribskov Municipality’s new administration and health centre in Helsinge was revealed following a tender competition involving three teams.
"We are pleased to contribute to the realisation of Gribskov Municipality’s vision for a vibrant building that will serve as a new centre for both citizens and employees. The building is designed to harmonise with the unique Ice Age landscape and to invite life and use all year round," says Thomas West Jensen, partner at Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, who is behind the proposal together with STED By og Landskab, AB Clausen, and DEM, with Hoffmann as lead contractor.
