Kajplads 2150

Surrounded by old warehouses, the new homes at Kajplads 2150 are located in the middle of Sundmolen in Copenhagen's Nordhavn.

The building consists of a total of 68 owner-occupied homes in sizes from 49-202 m2 with 2-5 rooms,

where the largest have an associated roof terrace. All the homes have an attached balcony or terrace. Architecturally, the new buildings form part of an architectural interplay between

the old industrial area with warehouses in a context of public and private gardens and harbor basins.

Kajplads 2150 is located directly on the water with a view over the harbor inlet and Trekroner.

The water thus plays a significant role for the buildings in the area, where low stairs and ledges make the harbor basins suitable for recreational use.

There is easy access to public transport. Nordhavn Station is within walking distance with access to the S-train and Metro station Orientkaj is only a few hundred meters from the building.

The area at Sundmolen has been characterized for more than 100 years by the industrial warehouses, which were originally used as loading and unloading stations for ships to and from Asia.

Today, however, the warehouses primarily function as domiciles and showrooms for a number of Danish design companies.

The warehouses largely represent the architectural core around which the rest of the buildings on Sundmolen are built, and are therefore also part of the area in the future.
