Iconic white tower with pocket park, daylight and sea view

The area around Amager Strandvej in Copenhagen is characterized by older industrial buildings and workshops, which create a stark contrast to the new buildings and the series of towers that have densified the neighborhood in recent years. The metro has tied the area closer to the city, and the scenic surroundings at Amager Strandpark have made the area attractive for housing.

Close to Amager Strandpark – with a view over Øresund – a residential tower and a lower building with a convenience store and a green roof terrace have been built. The building at Amager Strandvej no. 100 is designed in connection with Østamager's urban relations and the beautiful landscape towards the water. In front of the buildings, a sheltered open space has been created towards the water, and the view is utilized optimally in the spacious apartments.

The entire facility is rotated slightly for better solar orientation and is slightly set back in relation to Amager Strandvej, and the building thereby forms a square on the corner of Kystvejen and Øresundsvej. The area is planted and creates a pocket park facing Øresund - to the delight of both the house's residents and the rest of the area.

The 15-storey residential tower has a dynamic layout consisting of three apartments on each floor of between 90-150 square metres. However, the apartments on the top floor are penthouses with access to a private roof terrace. All apartments have balconies or terraces facing south and southwest, which optimize use on sunny days and balmy summer evenings. At the same time, they provide a good amount of light in the apartments.

The house is plastered and bright, and the balconies are made of steel covered with white fiber concrete. The balconies are staggered around the trunk and give the house a dynamic composition.

Regardless of which corner of the world you view the house from, it is experienced alive with changing light and shadow effects.
