Shell motorway service stations

At the beginning of the 1990s, Shell offered a competition for motorway construction in the new part of the Danish motorway network "Store H". Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects won four of the 14 motorway installations that are still located on Zealand, Funen and Jutland. The facilities are laid out with an easy-to-read separation between truck and car zones and between kiosk and restaurant guests. The facility is tied together by floating roofs, which in the evening are illuminated from below.
